Kaleb Micheal Fair

My name is Kaleb Michael Fair. I was saved around the age of four and became a storyteller at fourteen.

I had the privilege of growing up with a church-going family and I became a Christian by the time I entered kindergarten. Art and music were formative facets of my childhood. This drew me to theatre and I performed on stage in a musical for the first time just before high school. Over those years my understanding of what life with Jesus could be was so limited.

I moved to New York to pursue a career in musical theatre when I was nineteen. I studied at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts and graduated from the musical theatre program in

2021.

Those initial years in the city were spent as a prodigal son; I was far from The Father’s house, embracing lesser loves, headed on a path of destruction.

But since then, I have come to know that the best life we can live is one fully surrendered to Christ. In John 10:10, Jesus says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have

come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

The Lord has moved in power. Though I wasn’t initially aware of the process, He dedicated the year 2022 to my spiritual reformation. He brought this prodigal son back to Himself. In 2023 I

rededicated my faith and my life to Him through baptism.

I’d laid down my own will, desiring for every area of my heart, mind, life to be centered around Jesus. Personal ambition and the pursuit of a career on Broadway were dethroned.

God in His considerate, all-knowing kindness has brought the ministry of Story Of God into my life in such an unexpected way. I had wanted to choose vocational ministry over theatre.

Through working with SOG, I’m getting both. It is the greatest gift.

I am deeply grateful that He has kept me in this global city to be set apart for His kingdom and to draw others to Him through redemptive art.
