Storyteller's Academy is a branch of Story of God ministries to disciple students of all walks of life through creating art that comes from intimacy with Jesus and calls us to mission and mercy.

Mr. Bright’s School of Stories

Mr. Bright believes stories are the best way to explore the truest themes of feeling, learning, and growing, so he started his own School of Stories! Mr.Bright is New York City based, writer, director, producer and performer. For booking, see mrbrightschoolofstories.com/programs

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Starting with practicing empathy, students will learn to build characterization and other tools for unlocking their voice. In this class, students will explore new ideas about how to consider their own environments and experiences, using fun and relatable narratives to unpack this journey of life.  Mr. Bright is here to inspire engagement and reflection through music and character, so that both children and children at heart can find something new about themselves and their world.

Baylee Kilgore, Private Voice Lesson

Baylee Kilgore is a classically trained opera singer currently pursuing her graduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music. She was born and raised in Texas and is now based in New York City. Baylee has taught private voice on and off for about 5 years. She teaches a range of styles including classical, musical theater and pop. She is now performing in MSM’s graduate opera theater and auditioning for opera houses around the world. Baylee is so excited to be teaching privately again! 

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Students will receive personalized vocal instruction to pursue their own singing goals through learning vocal care, strength and endurance training, stylizing and performance. Students will build confidence as they learn how to use the unique voice that was created and given to them. 


Karis McMurry, Storytelling

Karis McMurry is a Texas raised, New York based actor and singer.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Through improvisation games and short creative writing exercises, students will learn how to develop a skit together! As a class, we will develop a skit fitting the theme of the day.

Annell Moya, Songwriting

Annell Moya an actor, singer-songwriter and teaching artist born in South Africa now living in New York City. After graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy with her BFA from both New York and Los Angeles she moved back to New York to pursue her passion for acting and music. Some of her credits are “Polkadots! The Musical” at The Public Theater in Maine , “Sundown” by David Ceci and Galli Theater, non profit kids theater acting as various fairytale roles and as a teaching artist. Breaking out as a singer-songwriter starting with her single called “Heartbreak Before Love” and then her latest single and E.P  “Now Not Yet”. She has performed at various places such as “The Luncheonette” “Renaissance, creative.nyc” and at her solo concert at “The Delancey  Lounge” 

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Bring your musical ideas to life in this hands-on songwriting class. Whether you're a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, you'll learn the foundations of song structure, lyric writing, melody creation, and storytelling through music. Through guided exercises, group feedback, and real-world examples, you'll develop your own unique voice and leave the course with original songs you can be proud of. No prior experience required—just a passion for music and a desire to express yourself.


Anna Chara McCready, Visual Art

Anna Chara McCready is Appalachian-raised, New York City based writer, producer, and performer pursuing all of her passions through teaching and producing content for Story of God ministries.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Each week, students will discover a different visual art medium and how to implement those skills for interpreting their unique point of view. Classes will include: Intro to Watercolor, Collage, Puppet Construction, & Sculpting.

Shannon McCready, Beginner Guitar

Shannon McCready is New York City pastor with a passion to pass the baton of faith to the next generation through the arts.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Students will learn the fundamental skills to achieve their personal goals and begin their musical journey.
